MVS NFL POWER RANKINGS: ALLISON RANKS! Week #3

ALLISON RANKS! Week 3 - These rankings were almost as painful to write as watching the Ravens let the Browns hang around all day Sunday.  Nobody can claim that I'm biased and don't write what I see. Sorry Ravens fans...Here you are Steeler fans…

1.  Pittsburgh Steelers- So this week the Steelers won with Charlie Batch at the helm, but could've won with Soft Batch Cookies at QB.  It doesn't matter; they just keep winning.

2.  Indianapolis Colts- Peyton threw 3 TD's despite playing without 2 of his wide receivers and none going to Reggie Wayne.

3. Atlanta Falcons- The Falcons hadn't won in the Superdome since 2002, but behind a heavy dose of running, they pulled off a huge win and have an early lead in the division.

4.  New Orleans Saints – Bye bye Garrett Hartley… After a monster day from Lance Moore, one of 38748 playmakers on the Saints offense, Garrett Hartley couldn't kick a 29 yard FG to win the game and keep the champs rolling.

5.  Chicago Bears- The only undefeated team left in the NFC, the Bears defense led by Julius Peppers and Brian Urlacher is for real.   Jay Cutler did just enough not to lose the game for the Bears.

6.  Green Bay Packers – 18 penalties, on the road, on Monday night isn't going to work.  Despite Aaron Rodgers leading long drives to eat the clock, the Packers couldn't finish drives to push past the Bears.

7.  New York Jets- Good thing for Jets fans that the organization didn't think drunk driving is a good reason to sit someone out.

8. Philadelphia Eagles- Kevin Kolb might spend his entire career being the Eagles quarterback of the future.

9.  New England Patriots-The Patriots defense is allowing an average of 27.3 points per game in the first 3 games.  Lucky for them, they have the ability to score more.

10. Cincinnati Bengals- Cedric Benson became the first Bengals RB to rush for a TD and catch a TD pass in the same game since Corey Dillon did it in 2001

11.   Baltimore Ravens –  TGFQ= Thank God for Quan; Anquan Boldin became the fastest player to 600 receptions on a day where the Baltimore offense had to bail out the defense.

12.  Houston Texans- The Texans couldn't win the battle of Texas on Sunday and proved they're not America's team yet, not even Texas's team yet

13. Tennessee Titans- A week after the Titans couldn't hold onto the ball, they forced the Giants to do the same thing and baited the Giants into 5 personal foul penalties.

14.  Miami Dolphins-  Brandon Marshall was the better behaved troublemaking wide receiver on the field Sunday night and the better receiver with 166 yards, but the Dolphins fell short to the Jets.

15.  San Diego Chargers – A simple math lesson:  about 9 times out of 10 if you turn the ball over 5 times, you lose.

16.  Kansas City Chiefs- Nobody believes the Chiefs are for real, but a quality win over what's become an over-hyped 49ers team has me believing, I guess?

Bottom Feeder:  Washington Redskins- Death, taxes, and the Washington Redskins suffering an embarrassing loss in every football season.
