Most Hated Team

A topic came up on Scotts show today after an article claimed the Indians were the most hated team in baseball (which doesn't make much sense), of who your most hated team is.  Being from Baltimore its easy to say the Yankees, Red Sox, Steelers or Colts, and I posted something about a week ago about my hatred of the Yankees.  So this time ill talk about another hatred of mine and its the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  I'm a Navy football fan so you can see 1 reason why I don't like them, a 43 game losing streak, but over the last couple years Navy has won 2 out of 3 against Notre Dame so it has sort of made up for that losing streak.  The main reason I hate Notre Dame is their fans (but not all of them).  Most of Notre Dame's fans are loud and obnoxious and they have this sense of entitlement.  Notre Dame in football has been pretty much irrelevant since the late 80's but the fans act like they are a top 5 program.  One moment that sticks out in my mind is in 2008 when I went to a Navy-Notre Dame game in Baltimore.  Notre Dame won barely 27-21 and after the game some of the fans were jumping up and down like they had just won the National Title.  So instead of adding fuel to the fire whenever a ND fan yelled in my direction I simply mentioned that USC would destroy ND in a few weeks.  Needless to say USC rolled over the Irish 38-3 as I smiled the entire game.  Maybe because im an outsider I don't like them but there is this attitude and arrogance about Notre Dame that just rubs me the wrong way.  I'm sure some would argue college football is better if Notre Dame is better but personally it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Notre Dame struggle for a very long time.
