MMA brawl...you're killin' us

Saturday night Dan Henderson made his debut on CBS in a much-anticipated event fighting Jake Shields.  Hendo left the UFC and was the big name on the card in an effort to bring mixed martial arts to a larger audience. The fights weren't great but the main event was entertaining with Henderson rocking Shields in the first round but not able to put him away. Shields then recovered and tied up Hendo for the remainder winning the fight by unanimous decision.   All that was fine it was the post fight interview that got ugly.  Shields was being interviewed when Jason "Mayhem" Miller interrupted the interview, asking for a rematch which ignited a brawl on national television.

Way to ruin a great evening. You just gave all the haters out there the ammo they are looking for to discredit the sport.  So many are working so hard to educate the public about mixed martial arts and this eruption after the main event just validates the opinion of those that hate MMA that it's a thug sport.  Nice going .
