Md. Student Charged With Selling Brownies Laced With Drugs

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- A teenager is facing charges after allegedly selling students brownies laced with marijuana at their Montgomery County school.

Montgomery County police said in a statement that 18-year-old William Keysar of Silver Spring has been charged with distribution of a controlled, dangerous substance and distribution of a controlled, dangerous substance on school property. Officials said the brownies, which Keysar allegedly charged $15 for, were laced with marijuana. Police say two Montgomery Blair High School students who ate the brownies went to a nurse on Nov. 25 and had an elevated heart rate. The students were taken to a hospital and later released.

Keysar's lawyer, David Moyse, says Keysar has never been in trouble with the law before and is a "fine young man."
