Md. Re-Entry Symposium To Be Held
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- More than 250 people are scheduled to attend Maryland's first symposium to help people transition from the correctional system to society.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday morning in Annapolis.
Sen. Verna Jones-Rodwell, D-Baltimore, says the symposium will bring advocates together from across the state to help better prepare people as they make the transition.
Representatives from public agencies, community-based nonprofits, faith-based organizations, educational institutions and labor unions are scheduled to attend.
