Maryland Weather: Wind Advisory In Effect Throughout The State For Most Of Friday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Strong winds will be moving through parts of Maryland from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.

A wind advisory is in effect for much of Maryland until 6 p.m. The National Weather Service said wind gusts could reach up to 50 miles per hour.



As of midnight Friday, BGE reported 335 total outages across the state.

There were multiple reports Thursday of damage across Maryland as a result of the wind.


In Baltimore, strong winds knocked down a stoplight at the intersection of Maryland and West Lafayette avenues in Station North.

In Montgomery County, a person was trapped inside a home in the 10200 block of Parkwood Drive when a large tree fell on top of the house. The person was not seriously hurt.
