Maryland State Trooper Hurt In Crash On Route 355
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a trooper suffered a hand fracture when his patrol car was hit by another vehicle and then crashed into a parked tractor-trailer in Frederick.
Police say Trooper First Class Jeremy Hite of the Frederick barrack was injured shortly before midnight Tuesday on Route 355.
They say Hite was traveling south when his car was struck by a car that failed to yield the right-of-way while turning left from the northbound lane.
Police say the patrol car left the roadway and hit an unattended tractor-trailer.
They say charges are pending against the other driver.
