Maryland Robbery Suspect Arrested In Virginia Bank Robbery

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — A man sought in a Maryland jewelry store robbery has been arrested and charged in a bank robbery in Virginia.

Derrick Lamont Graham, 42, was arrested Monday at a metro station near the Arlington bank, news outlets report. Earlier, he had entered the bank and provided a note demanding cash and implying he was armed, according to Arlington County police. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police statements.

Graham also was wanted in the jewelry store robbery in Bethesda, department spokeswoman Ashley Savage said.

Three male suspects robbed the store of about $60,000 worth of jewelry on Dec. 13. One of the men was armed, and the others demanded the jewelry, according to a statement by Montgomery County police. Authorities received multiple tips identifying Graham as the armed man, it says. Authorities still are searching for the other suspects.

Graham is being held in Arlington, Virginia, pending extradition to Montgomery County, Maryland, according to the statement. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
