March For The Animals Postponed After Saturday Protest
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- MDSPCA has decided to postpone Sunday's March For the Animals after Saturday's protest turned violent.
A new date has not been announced.
In a statement, MDSPA officials said, "To [ensure] the comfort and safety of everyone planning to attend today's March for the Animals, the Maryland SPCA has decided to postpone our 20th annual March that was scheduled to take place at Druid Hill Park. We want to be sure that all attendees are able to participate without concern. We are disappointed, but know we will all be able to get together soon to celebrate our 20th walk anniversary with our dear friends and supporters. For more information and how you can still help, visit the Maryland SPCA's website at www.mdspca.org. Thank you for your understanding."
Several other events have been postponed as well, including the Shock Trauma Gala that was supposed to occur Saturday night.
