Man Pleads Guilty To Producing Child Pornography
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Prosecutors say a Columbia man has pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting a minor to produce child pornography.
Forty-three-year-old Phillip Wayne Barto entered the plea on Tuesday. He will be sentenced on March 3.
According to his plea agreement, in December 2009, the girl told Howard County social services that Barto had been abusing her. A search warrant was executed on Barto's home, and sexually explicit pictures of the girl were recovered from a computer.
Prosecutors say more than 300 videos and numerous images showing the sexual abuse of children were found on Barto's computer.
