Man Charged With Assaulting Police Officer
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- A New Windsor man has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
Preston Jones, 51, is also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and other offenses.
According to charging documents, on Tuesday, Jones hit a parking meter and another vehicle behind the Winchester Exchange building in Westminster.
The documents say Jones became belligerent while being arrested and kicked a Westminster police officer several times
