Man Charged After Allegedly Pointing Gun
ST. INIGOES, Md. (AP) -- The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office says a man has been charged with assault after allegedly pointing a gun at a deputy.
It happened about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday in St. Inigoes. Deputies trying to serve child support warrants on Kevin Bonds, 39, say Bonds came out of a room and pointed a long gun at a deputy.
Authorities say another deputy fired several shots at Bonds, who was not hit. He was eventually taken into custody.
The deputy who fired the shots has been placed on routine administrative leave.
