BALTIMORE (AP) -- A 91-year-old man is dead after being struck while driving a scooter in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore. 

Charles Oliver Fretwell was struck by a car Friday afternoon as he was crossing Hammonds Lane. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Authorities are investigating the crash, but no charges have been filed.
