Live Orioles Opening Day Blog. Stay Tuned...

Thank you all for reading my first official 105.7 The Fan blog. And let me be the first to say how excited I am to be a part of the CBS Radio family and the 105.7 The Fan team.  I will be at most home games and some road games giving you guys plenty of updates pre and post game from the clubhouse and field so be sure to listen in to 105.7 throughout the season to get all your Orioles news and notes. I will also be doing some writing and on-camera work for MASN with both the Orioles and the Nationals so be sure to log onto masnsports.com to see video content from Camden Yards and Nationals Park.

Opening Day at Camden can't get here fast enough... but tonight should be an exciting game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the O's, as the two teams, I believe, will fight it out for third place in the American League East.

I am VERY optimistic about this 2010 O's team and I believe they have a legit shot at ending that 12-year skid of having a losing record. It'll be nice to see veteran Kevin Millwood face James Shields tonight at The Trop but I'm more interested in seeing Jeremy Guthrie, who's coming off a terrible spring, match up with Matt Garza Wednesday night. Dave Trembley and the O's are counting on Guthrie this season and he needs to prove, sooner than later, he can pitch in this tough AL East.

Until then... Log on to 105.7 The Fan TONIGHT AT GAME TIME as I will be blogging my thoughts on Game 1 of the 2010 O's season throughout the night.
