Just what the O's needed

An extra-innings, walkoff win to the division rival Boston Red Sox Friday night was just what the Orioles needed. Unable to win close games all season, the Orioles never backed down -- got clutch hits when they needed to, made outs whent hey needed to, played clean baseball defensively and the bullpen, especially Matt Albers, held the Sox off long enough to allow Miguel Tejada to knock in the winning run.

"That's why Miguel Tejada is who he is," Trembley said.
Before the start of the game, Trembley listed three things he wanted to see from his ballclub: Quality pitching, good defense and timely hitting. That's exactly what he got tonight.
