Judge Denies Sentence Modification In 1981 Slaying
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Washington County Circuit judge has denied a request for a sentence modification for a man who killed his ex-wife almost 30 years ago.
Judge Frederick Wright III denied Wayne Foster's motion on Monday, saying life imprisonment was "correct and just."
Foster, 64, was convicted in 1982 of killing his ex-wife, Sherry Foster, 28, of Martinsburg, W.Va. Her body was found in her disabled car in Hagerstown on Oct. 6, 1981. She had been shot five times.
