Immaturity running wild in Baseball

This weekend in Major League Baseball we saw some grown men yelling at their teammates like little children.  Both of these players have had their issues and this isn't the first incident for either player.  Lets start in Chicago, Carlos Zambrano has been known for his over the top personality.  In Fridays game against the White Sox Zambrano had a rough first inning giving up 4 runs.  When he headed into the dugout Carlos exploded

he marched up and down the dugout screaming at his team.  Basically he felt that some of those ground balls in the infield could've been caught and that his team was lacking effort.  Now i saw that game I don't know what Zambrano was seeing it even got to a point where he got in the face of Derek Lee and he tipped over a cooler.  Zambrano has done this crap before, in a game that he was ejected from last season he took a baseball bat to a Gatorade cooler in the Cubs dugout.  To say this guy has a short fuse is an understatement, the Cubs have responded by suspending Zambrano indefinitely and I wouldn't be surprised if he was not in a Cubs uniform this season.  Throwing a temper tantrum like this to me does nothing for your team especially when it's from a guy like Zambrano.  Bottom line it was just dumb and inexcusable.

Now on to the Tampa situation, BJ Upton on Sunday pulled a Hanley.  In the fifth inning an Arizona player lined a ball into the gap and Upton lightly jogged to the ball and what should have been a double was a triple.  In between innings Evan Longoria went to Upton and said something, probably something along the line of "Dont ever do that again".  Well apparently Upton doesn't like when someone calls him out for something he did wrong.  Longoria should be praised for what he did, and Upton again was being immature.  BJ Upton has all the potential in the world but to display that lack of hustle and energy is unacceptable.  That is the one unpardonable sin amongst the fans is when a player does not hustle.  Upton needs to realise how lucky he is to be a major league ballplayer, this is not a right its a privilege.  As a fan I don't think its to much ask for the guys we root for to give 100 percent.  You wouldn't think you would have to tell 2 grown men to grow up but in Upton and Zambrano's case if they don't they could find themselves in different uniforms this season and will probably add many more before their careers are done.
