I wish life were like the movies sometimes
There I was watching the Oriole game behind home plate with Ed Norris yesterday. We both noticed the same thing, our boys look defeated. There was no pep in their step and at times it looked like they were going through the motions.

Losing sucks, I get that, but they get paid a boatload of money to play a kids game. I don't think I'm asking for too much to see a little enthusiasm. It reminds me of the scene in the movie "Little Big League" where the kid becomes the manager of the Twins (side note its actually a pretty good movie if you've never seen it). His players are just going through the motions and were miserable. The kid reminds them that they're playing a kids game. He reminds them how lucky they are, and he tells them I don't care about wins and losses, I just want you to have fun. Cue the music montage and the team starts winning. Granted, this is real life and things aren't that easy but these guys should wake up and realize how lucky they are. I know it wont make them win but I would like to see them have fun.
