How the Mighty Have Fallen
I remember the first time I saw Dontrelle Willis pitch. The LHP with the herky jerky delievery set the baseball world afire in 2003. He went 14-6 on his way to the Rookie of the Year award. Plus he had a personality that fans loved. He looked like he'd be a star for a long time. Unfortunately, things went really bad for Willis. So much so that the Tigers designated for assignment even though he was making $12 million per season. The Tigers were able to trade him yesterday to the Arizona Diamondbacks for RHP Billy Buckner. Not exactly the motherlode. I'm hoping Willis can get his career back on track on Arizona.
