Historic House To Host Immersive Theater On Edgar Allan Poe

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Maryland Historical Society says a historic home in Baltimore will soon house a new immersive theater experience that will explore the spirit and characters of writer Edgar Allan Poe.

The group announced Friday that Enoch Pratt House will host the new interactive theater experience in late March through early May.

The two-hour show is called "The Mesmeric Revelations! Of Edgar Allan Poe." It will feature six characters representing real and fictional inhabitants of Poe's life. Audience members will be able to share moments with the characters, choose which stories to follow and interact with the sets.

The Enoch Pratt House, once home to one of Baltimore's influential philanthropists, is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. It has been closed to the public since 2004.
