Hey Vince...Really?

It completely boggles my mind that such talented people continue to put themselves in the wrong place, and put what they've worked so hard for, on the line. As one quarterback returns to practice after enduring months of embarrassment, attempting to close a dark chapter in his life, another's is just beginning. That 'other' is Vince Young, who is now the lone suspect in an assault at a Dallas strip club. Those Titans sure like their strip clubs as former Tennessee Titans Cornerback Adam "Pac Man" Jones is a well known attendee. Difference being that VY's nights end with punches thrown and Pac Man's nights end with gunfire and shattered glass. Roger Goodell's office, fresh from a visit from Ben Roethlisberger, may soon be welcoming Vince Young. Bottom Line is the Quarterback is the face of the franchise, and when these decisions are made much attention is brought to the organization, and in this case the motto "any publicity is good publicity" does not apply. No organization enjoys being mentioned along with this recklessness and the league as whole has no tolerance for it. Last year this football team finished up 8-2, salvaging a year in which they started 0-6. Vince Young, who many felt wasn't an NFL Quarterback, gained some support and some much need momentum. Momentum that their fan base hoped would carry over to this season as Vince has had trouble putting together successful back to back campaigns. After silencing many of his doubters simply by winning and getting his teams into the playoffs, Vince had a setback as a quad injury took him off the field. This after an offseason that saw Vince hit a wall of depression, with rumors speculating he was even suicidal. Throw in that he reportedly wanted to retire after his rookie season, and you've obviously got a case of mental instability. After a year on the bench, it was believed that Vince had grown up and he was ready to become the leader he was drafted to be. Well, apparently not as Vince was the aggressor in the video obtained by TMZ.com. The only aggressor and I'm guessing the reason being because everybody else in the video was an adult. If you're a fan of Vince Young's you may not want to know what upset your favorite player. Here it goes…It's great. Vince completely lost his mind and attacked this other man because he had some choice words for the University of Texas. Vince, you're one of 32 players that can call himself an NFL starting quarterback and you're out there trading blows with a guy who has nothing to lose?! All while you have everything to lose?? It's not a good look Vince, and it's pretty embarrassing for any rational adult to be that guy. You're that guy, and it' not alleged, it's on video.
