Hard to stay positive
The losses are mounting for the Baltimore Orioles, and unfortunately so are the injuries. The Birds (2-12), were almost no hit last night by a guy named Doug Fister (really!!). They are hitting .229 as a team, and after last night's game optioned Brad Bergesen back to AAA Norfolk. What makes matters worse is they really haven't had a closer (Mike Gonzalez) or leadoff man (Brian Roberts) all season. Miguel Tejada got hurt over the weekend (though that injury is not believed to be serious, and now we learn Felix Pie will miss three months with a torn latt. I'm trying to look at things as half full, but as each day goes by, it's getting tougher. The good news the O's have 12 straight games against the Yankees and Red Sox coming up so they can right the ship there.
