Grants Fund Tree Plantings At Prettyboy Watershed
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Public works officials say the Prettyboy Watershed Alliance has received two grants that will provide trees to be planted at the reservoir.
The two grants from the Chesapeake Bay Trust total $5,666. Officials say trees help prevent runoff and absorb pollutants.
The reservoir is in Baltimore and Carroll counties and York County in Pennsylvania.
The Alliance will hold its next tree planting on Oct. 20.
