Good news ahead for Koji and Bergy

Nothing  is official but it looks like Koji Uehara and Brad Bergesen could both rejoin the team on Saturday. According to Samuel, Koji threw the ball today "very, very well" and will not need a rehab assignment in the minors. Instead, as Samuel stated, "why waste the pitches?" when he can be used here in the Majors. Bergesen will also be in Baltimore tomorrow and will start Saturday afternoon against the Washington Nationals in Part II of The Beltway Series. With the activation of Koji and Bergesen comes two roster moves. Samuel said a pitcher and a position player will most likely be on the chopping block. Will the position player be the slumping Garrett Atkins who is just 8-for-55 in this last 20 games and is hitting a dismal .219?

Tune in tomorrow to find out as I will be sitting with Jeremy on The Scott Garceau Show.
