Getting the ol' "stiff arm" ...

O.J. Simpson now has some company.  His name is Reggie Bush.  They are the sole members of the "Heisman Trophy winners that USC is ashamed of!"

So USC's athletic department is in turmoil and being flipped upside down.  Pete Carroll departed for the NFL.  They are under NCAA sanctions. The incoming president of the university returned the school's copy of Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy and removed all displays honoring Bush and basketball standout O.J. Mayo.

It always makes sense to give back the awards that you cheated to get.  I love it when the Olympics does that too.  It makes so much sense to the guy who finished second too.  I bet Vince Young feels better knowing he WOULD have won if Reggie Bush never played!

Handing back the Heisman, or taking it away for that matter, after the fact, is the one time where possession is NOT 9/10ths of the law.  It's just like the married guy who had an affair with a woman and gets caught, and then the woman saying "as long as you don't display any pictures of the other woman or remind me of her, I will forget you ever cheated!"  HOW ABOUT NOOO!

USC turning over an athletic department that was full of alleged cheaters is a better way to fix the problem and furthermore, ensure it doesn't happen again.  While we have all moved forward, we won't forget what USC and Reggie Bush did.  Who holds the actual trophy, is irrelevant.
