Funeral Held For Baltimore Ravens CB Tray Walker

MIAMI (WJZ) -- Remembering Ravens star Tray Walker. Walker died earlier this month after a deadly dirt bike crash in Miami. Saturday, loved ones and more than 50 members of the Ravens organization gathered to pay their respects.

George Solis shows how the Ravens are paying tribute here at home.

Though his funeral was held in his Miami hometown, the Ravens made sure everyone knows Walker is gone but not forgotten.


Police say Walker's dirt bike didn't have headlights. He was also wearing dark clothing, which could have been a factor in the crash.

A deadly collision has cost countless tears. Twenty-three-year-old cornerback Tray Walker was killed in a crash on a south Florida road. Police say Walker's dirt bike slammed into an SUV.

Despite best efforts, Walker passed away less than a day after the accident. Saturday, family and friends paid tribute to Walker as he was laid to rest in his Miami hometown. More than 50 of Walker's teammates made it to the funeral, thanks to a plane chartered by team owner Steve Bisciotti. Head coach John Harbaugh was among the mourners.

"First thing I noticed was that smile," Harbaugh said.

Other players took to Twitter to pay their respects. There was also a touching tribute to Walker at the Ravens' training facility, a message to everyone that Tray Walker's light will always shine.

The driver in the wreck was unharmed. The crash is still under investigation.
