Firefighters Rescue 4 From Burning Home In Bowie

BOWIE, Md. (AP) -- Four people have been rescued from a burning home in Bowie.

Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says firefighters were called to the two-story home about 4 a.m. on Friday. A man who escaped told firefighters that others in the home weren't able to get out.

Brady says firefighters rescued a woman and three pre-teen girls from the second floor of the home. They were treated for smoke inhalation and taken to area hospitals in good condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
