Fantasy Playoff Advice With Phil Gentile
Phil Gentile with the Purple Reign Show joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to share some of his advice for the Fantasy Football Semifinals.
There have been some devastating injuries to NFL teams and fantasy teams this year. Phil talked about the impact of these injuries on your fantasy football team. "You look at a guy like Dez Bryant who is basically unstart-able at this point with Matt Cassel as his quarterback. I can't start him anymore, I don't think he has had over 100 yards or a touchdown in the last 4-5 games." Running backs have been dropping like flies in 2015, resulting in unknown guys becoming key pieces in NFL offenses, "Look at a guy like Tim Hightower, the running back for the Saints who is going to be an every down back for them. He's going to get the goal line carries. I didn't even know Tim Hightower played football any more!"
Phil later gave us his favorite value plays in daily fantasy leagues this week. "I like Brandon LaFell just because I think the Patriots are going to put up some serious points against Tennessee. I would say Denard Robinson is a nice running back play if T.J. Yeldon doesn't play. I really like Charcandrick West this week if Spencer Ware is out against the Ravens. I think they will use him a lot out of the backfield catching passes."
