Employees, Customer Help Nab Robbery Suspect
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis police say two employees and a customer helped detain a robbery suspect in a convenience store.
It happened early Saturday at the Pantry 1 store on Spa Road.
Police say a woman walked in and handed an employee at the counter a note demanding money and saying she had a gun.
The employee locked the store door while the suspect took cash from one of the registers. A second employee and a customer grabbed the woman as she tried to leave the store.
Twenty-seven-year-old Shanita Lee Griffin of Annapolis was arrested and charged with armed robbery and other offenses.
