Electric Co-Ops Launch Energy-Saving Website
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Customers of electric cooperatives in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia have a new online resource to help save energy and money on their electric bills.
Old Dominion Electric Cooperative says it has worked with 11 electric distribution cooperatives to create a new website called EnergizeEfficiently.coop.
The cooperatives serve about 1.2 million customers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The site allows customers to calculate how much energy they are using on a daily basis. It also provides coupons for energy-saving devices and information about state and federal rebate and tax savings programs.
