Ed Reed's Departure Has Ravens Fans Riled Up
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After 11 seasons with the Ravens, Ed Reed is leaving Baltimore. As a free agent, Reed is on the verge of signing with the Houston Texans.

Reed has spent his entire pro football career in Baltimore, and that has some fans fired up about his departure.
After playing for more than a decade in Baltimore and helping the team win Super Bowl XLVII, safety Ed Reed has become a fan favorite.

"Ed's going to a good place for Ed. It's close to home."
Reed, Anquan Boldin, Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbe will play for new teams next season.
Ravens fans take to social media to vent.
"I'm done with offseason football. This is ridiculous. Furious," said Dan Severe.
"[Reed is] a wonderful player and Baltimore superstar but it's time to get younger," wrote Robert Freund.
"This is a business and Ozzie is the CEO! He's going to keep his assets and cut the dead weight," said Robert Williams.
Reed, who holds the Ravens record for most interceptions, was front and center when the team returned home world champions.
"Ed Reed was like the MVP during the Super Bowl, honestly," a fan said.
"It's terrible, I love Ed Reed. I think the Ravens should have paid whatever it took to keep him. He's been here his whole career and I am so sorry, it's the worst thing ever," another fan said.
"I think it's sad. Like it hurts," a fan said.
Players are also weighing in on the departure. Torrey Smith tweeted:
"No Reed or Ray in Baltimore? This season is going to be weird."
Reed signed with the Ravens in 2002.
