Early Voting Begins In Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Early voting is getting started in Maryland.

Voters can cast their ballots early beginning Saturday and through Thursday.

In addition to voting for president and a congressional representative, voters will have some big ballot questions to consider.

Maryland residents will be deciding whether to allow same-sex marriage and whether to expand gambling to allow table games, as well as a casino in Prince George's County.

They can also vote on whether to allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition, if they have attended a Maryland high school for three years and can demonstrate that their parents have paid income taxes.

Voters also are being asked if they approve of the state's congressional redistricting map.
