Delegate Dwyer Charged In Drunken Boat Collision
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A prominent state delegate is now officially charged for a serious boating accident. Police say he was drunk while operating that boat.
The state's attorney's office says Delegate Don Dwyer's blood alcohol content was .24. That's three times the legal limit.
His boat collided with a second boat on the Magothy River back in August.
Several people were injured, including children.
Dwyer faces a number of charges, including operating a vessel under the influence of alcohol. The other boat operator is also charged.
