Delaware Police: Man Choked Girlfriend, Trapped Her In Car
MILLSBORO, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police say a Maryland man choked his girlfriend in front of her children and trapped them all in a car.
A state police release says 29-year-old Kyle M. Gibbons was driving his 31-year-old girlfriend and her children around when he and the woman got into an argument. Investigators say Gibbons then choked her and refused to let her exit the vehicle.
Police say he drove her and her children to the children's father's house where they were then all able to exit safely. He's accused of returning to the home later, kicking in a door and damaging property before fleeing.
WBOC reports Gibbons was discovered in a parking lot and charged with burglary, strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
