THE DEFENSE
Q: What do you love about your car?
A: I love my car for many reasons. First off, I won it in a bet with my dad. I bet my dad that I would beat his SAT scores. He said he was going to get me a car, but I said if I beat his SAT scores, he had to get me a convertible. So he got me the cheapest, used convertible he could find, which was this, and I love it. Also, when I turned 18, my brothers got me sticker flames to put on the side and plastic clip-on spinner rims. Unfortunately, three of them were stolen at once and it looked stupid to have only one spinner. The coolant light is always on, but it still gets me from A to B, so I love it.
Q: Why were you so set on a convertible?
A: There's so much glamour. In the summer, it's so nice to have the wind brushing your face. I just feel more in touch with the car.
Q: What's your car's main use?
A: Right now, when it's cold outside, I'm lazy, so I drive to class. I drive to work. I don't live too far away, so I drive home every now and then.
Q: What's the most memorable trip you've taken with the car?
A: I once went down to Northern Carolina. That was pretty fun. I drove through Virginia, which takes forever. Got two speeding tickets. I had to go to court for one of them, which wasn't fun. Luckily everything's taken care of now.
Q: Do you think you got the speeding tickets because they thought those were real flames?
A: Yeah. They said I was going 20 over, but I think it was their perspective, seeing the flames that made it look like that.
Q: Are you a fast driver?
A: I probably drive faster than I should. Just don't tell my mom.
Q: What's your favorite feature about the car?
A: It would be the stereo system that I've spent a lot on. I got a couple subwoofers and I redid the header unit. Senior year of high school, I got really obsessed with my car stereo and spent all my money on that.
Q: What are you usually bumping when you drive?
A: A lot of hip hop. Recently, some more electronic stuff. Some dubstep.
Q: Do you have any rules?
A: The one rule is, whoever sits in the passenger seat has to DJ and they need to pick songs I like. If they dont, they go to the backseat.
Q: What do you think your next car will realistically be?
A: I would love to, for my entire life, only drive convertibles. I will probably try to find the cheapest, used convertible again. I love driving with the top down!
