Dear Bret Favre....Please Go Away

To a lot of people Bret Favre is still one of their favorite players not only in the NFL but in all of professional sports.  But quite frankly I am done with number 4 and ill go back to when I started to strongly dislike Bret Favre.

A couple of years back when Favre retired the first time he had a tear soaked press conference and made many people believe he was done with the game of football.  Not more than 2 months later at the most Favre started for lack of a better term started to get the itch back, not only that he blamed Green Bay for pushing him out the door before he wanted to leave.  Then Favre wanted to be released from the Packers and Packers GM Ted Thompson said no it was finally resolved by Favre being traded to the Jets.  Favre had a great start to the Jets season but it ended badly and the Jets missed the playoffs.  Then he had retirement # 2, which anybody can see he played in New York 1 year just so he could go to Minnesota the year after.  Another thing Favre did that really bothered me was the whole thing about the Jets not puting him on the injury report at the end of the 2008 season.  When the league fined the Jets for doing that Bret said that it was too harsh.  Well Bret if you wouldn't have said anything nothing would've been done so why even bring it up its just dumb.  Now we are in another wait and see offseason with the great Bret Favre.  I am waiting for one of Rachel Nichols reports to go like this "Reporting from Bret Favre's house im Rachel Nichols.  In a developing story Bret had a ham and cheese sandwich on wheat bread with some mayonnaise, still no reports on if the sandwich was delicious.  For ESPN I'm Rachel Nichols".  He has turned ESPN into the AFN (All Favre Network) and im just done with it.  Favre was one of my favorite players but his selfishness and his 2 retirements and throwing his two former teams under the bus has made me wanting him to retire for good.  Maybe if he's lucky his last pass of the season will be another INT in the NFC Championship game, then we will start this process all over again.
