Crash Closes Baltimore Tunnel For 90 Minutes
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland Transportation Authority Police say a crash closed the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel for about 90 minutes.
Police say a car exiting the tunnel crossed over into oncoming traffic and caused a six-car crash about 8 a.m. Wednesday. The tunnel reopened about 9:30 a.m.
Maryland Transportation Authority Police Sgt. Jonathan Green says one person sustained life threatening and three others suffered non-life threatening injuries. All four were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Green said investigators were looking into why the car crossed over into oncoming traffic.
