Crabber Dies At Taylors Island After Falling From Boat
TAYLORS ISLAND, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Natural Resources Police say a crabber died after being found unresponsive in the water in Slaughter Creek near Taylors Island.
Authorities were called around 10 a.m. Friday about a spinning boat. Responders found the unmanned boat and its operator, Richard Yost, 62, of Clear Spring in the water. He was pronounced dead at Dorchester General Hospital.
Officials say it was not clear if Yost fell overboard and drowned or had a medical emergency before falling. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy.
