Comeback kids do it again

I think these are the Baltimore Orioles we've seen win FIVE of the last six games, all of which have been impressive come-from-behind victories. In yet another brilliant fashion, the O's managed to beat the Oakland A's after trailing 6-3 in the fourth behind Kevin Millwood, who could not earn his third victory of the season after allowing five unearned runs, six total, over just five innings of work.

After a sloppy fourth inning where the O's recorded two errors, allowed  Mark Ellis to steal home and Coco Crisp to hit a three-run home run that gave the A's a significant lead, the O's bats came alive. But it was bitter-sweet.

For the sweet -- Corey Patterson hit a solo home run in the fourth to make it 6-4 and Ty Wigginton launched at two-run home run in the seventh to tie the game 6-6.  Wigginton's home run marked his first home run since May 22 at Washington and the first home run from an Orioles' first baseman all season.

Now for the bitter -- Luke Scott followed Wigginton with a solo shot to make it 7-6... but pulled his hamstring while rounding first in an attempt to run out what he thought was a triple. Scott limped around the bases grabbing his left hamstring and managed to walk past home plate before being greeted by his teammates and helped down the dugout stairs and into the clubhouse.

Scott, who was on crutches in the clubhouse after the game,  said it looks like the DL is a strong possibility.

Miguel Tejada then added a two-run shot, his sixth of the season, to give the O's the 9-6 win. Matt Albers got the win and Alfredo Simon got the save. Also to note, Adam Jones was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. He put the O's on the board early with a two-run home run in the second, then doubled in the third and singled in the fifth.

Good stuff all around, well minus Luke Scott's injury. Tune in tomorrow at 5pm for an update on Scott's hamstring and more.
