Cold Bowl in 2014 ... an idea that should have been put on ice!

So the Super Bowl is headed to New Jersey/New York in 2014.  Many would think that this Long Island native would be excited ... well I'm not. 

Don't get me wrong, I love New York.  Great pizza, great bagels and the best night-life, but does that mean the Meadowlands would make a good Super Bowl site?  In a word, no! 

I would like the idea much more if there was a stadium in Manhattan.  Trust me, the logistics of getting to New Jersey from New York city are about as complicated as quadratic functions!  Sure you have plenty of options, but when you don't know where you are going, it is a NIGHTMARE!

I don't mind the weather.  Football is meant to be played in the elements, so that isn't a deterrent.  For the fans who attend that game, the weather will just be an annoyance, but not as much as getting around the New York, tri-state area.  Trust me ... I've done it before!  The only way this works out is if the Jets and Giants are the teams playing in it ... talk about home field advantage!
