Coach K makes the right call, He wins-you Lose

Coach K again shows why if you are not playing to win, you might as well not play at all. With the game on the line, he felt he gave his team the best chance to win by intentionally missing a free throw thus giving Butler the chance for a game winning half court shot. This philosophy worked and now Duke has another championship. This philosophy worked because to be bluntly frank winners think this way. Losers find themselves playing not to lose more often than not and find themselves...exactly. Losing. The same could be said for the New orleans Saints as they took the chances and benefited greatly from them. On the other side The Indianapolis Colts played cautious football and lost to a lesser team. Hey, I am still not over it. It can be said that these types of gambles don't always pay off as Bill Belicheck could attest to. But, Bill has 3 Super Bowl rings and to get those he's had to make those types of decisions we question. And it helps that men like Coach K, Bill Belicheck, Sean Payton have IT. What IT is, is a winning mentality. These men take chances that though questioned lead to victories. The others are left with questions. "Should I have done this? Would this have worked?" I'd rather be questioned than left with questions.
