Chris Davis Discusses The Orioles' Season 70 Games In

Orioles first baseman Chris Davis joined Vinny & Rob talk about the team's season so far as the All-Star break approaches.

Chris starts by sharing some insight into his gameday rituals, his approach to running the bases and adjusting to various pitchers around the league.

The Orioles sit ten games over .500 (40-30) and Chris is obviously happy with the result so far, but he says the team is still not clicking the way they want to. "I think we're obviously in a great position right now, I think if you asked us at the beginning of the season if we expected to be at the top of the division and I think we've played a little better early on than maybe we expected," said Davis.

Chris has hit 16 home runs on the year and the Orioles as a team lead the majors with 109 homeruns. Mark Trumbo has been adding to that total a lot this season. Davis comments on Trumbo's addition to the lineup saying, "I think he's been huge for all of us. He's really given us that power, right-handed bat that I think we've needed for the last couple years."

Chris also talks about his involvement with the Casey Cares Foundation. Listen to the full interview below:
