Change Divisions? C'mon!

I hear some folks talk of wanting the Orioles to switch divisions because the AL East is just too tough.  That is pathetic!

Baltimore is a great town.  But, some residents often feel Baltimore gets 'slighted' or 'overlooked' by a national media that always focuses on Philly or DC.  They don't feel B-More can ever break the stereotype of being a train stop town.

These people are probably the same ones who are saying The Orioles should switch divisions because the AL East is too competitive.  Yeah, the Yankees and Red Sox dominate now.  But, what about the years when the O's dominated?  Did they wish the division was tougher then?  Do they want to forsake those great years?  Do they want to give up for the path of least resistence?

Are these the same folks whose ancestors said 'The USSR is just going to take over the world so why bother screwing with the 'cold war'.  The same ancestors that said 'The English are charging taxes and imprisoning us but 'oh, well.'  The same relatives that thought that ending slavery in the US would be too tough.  Please.

You want to continue to feel like Baltimore is an irrelevant town?  Then take your hat-in-hand to the league office and ask to change divisions, you babies!  Then petition your kid's baseball league to NOT keep score so your kid doesn't realize he sucks, too.

In the words of the great Bluto Blutarsky 'Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?  Hell No!  Let's Go.'  In fact, this town & these fans and this team need to watch Bluto's famous Animal House speech - unedited - courtesy of YouTube:

If that doesn't make you want to go beat some Yankee or BoSox ass then GO TO THE LEAGUE OFFICE!  Ask them to dismiss us from the Major Leagues all together.  You cowards!  Then tell your kids why the Orioles are competing in the Eastern League!  Why you take your future surrender monkey to see the O's whoop on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats instead of The Red Sox.  Tell'em how much better life in Baltimore is now that the Yankees and National TV never come here.  Then ask baseball fans in Altoona how relevent they feel.
