Casey At The Bat:Terp gives back to his country
Too many times, the headlines we read about NFL players are negative when it comes to what they do off the field. How much money they want, where they were enjoying the nightlife, being arrested, etc. I know from personal experience that so many NFL players give their time and money to give back to the community and help people who are less fortunate.
A former Maryland Terrapin football player is making an impact not only in a city, but in a whole country.
Former Terp Madieu Williams recently took a trip with the The Healing Hands Foundation which is based here in Baltimore. The NBC Nightly News did a feature on it, which you can see here.
I know someone who is involved with The Healing Hands Foundation. The foundation is very dedicated in its efforts to provide help to less-fortunate children who may not be able to receive the medical attention they need.
Madieu and D'Qwell Jackson should be commended for the work they did. This is clearly a passion for Madieu, and it is a worthy cause that seems to have had an impact on Jackson's life also.
