Carroll County Police Investigating Daytime, Residential Burglaries
WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ)-- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of daytime, residential burglaries.
Officers say one the burglaries happened in the last two weeks with one just east of Westminster, while six others took place along Carroll County's border with Baltimore County from northern Eldersburg to southern Manchester.
Authorities say suspects have entered homes through unlocked doors and windows and have stolen more than $40,000 in cash, jewelry, electronics, firearms and other valuables.
Sheriff's deputies advice residents to lock all doors and windows when they're not at home. Anyone with information about the burglaries is urged to call Detective Dayton at (410)386-2572.
