Bob Haynie: The Ravens Are Never Boring

I'll tell you what, the Baltimore Ravens sure do keep you on the edge of your seat pretty much every time they step on the football field.

Even when they play in a low scoring, mistake-filled contest, it's never boring for the Ravens as those games are usually decided late in the fourth quarter.

Sunday's game was anything but boring as the Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals combined to score 55 points in a matchup that, once again, came down to the final seconds. In the end, it was the Baltimore defense that held on to help earn the team's 7th victory.

Without Ray Lewis, the Baltimore "D" allowed 483 yards of offense and watched QB Andy Dalton dice them up to the tune of 373 yards. But the Ravens did pick off the Cincy rookie three times as they got themselves a huge win.

After the Ravens went up 31-14 in the 4th quarter, you figured that the game may be in the bag. Wrong. It doesn't work that way for Baltimore. As LB Terrell Suggs said last week, making things harder than they should be is the Ravens' way.

At 7-3, the Ravens control their own destiny. They are 3-0 in the AFC North with a sweep of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

All they need to do is handle their business. Of course, that is easier said than done.

However they eventually get it done, one thing is certain, it will not be boring.
