BLOG: Blustery & Very Chilly

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Our snow ended during the night (around midnight, or in some cases, shortly thereafter), leaving behind the general 2-4 inches that was anticipated.

It'll be blustery and very chilly Wednesday and colder Thursday as the low pressure system responsible for the recent snow intensifies and heads out into the Atlantic, bringing blizzard conditions to the New England coast.  Dry weather will prevail through the end of the week, but temperatures will remain below the seasonal averages in the short term.

Well, it isn't too early to start thinking about the weather conditions for the Ravens AFC Divisional Playoff game Saturday afternoon (a 4:30 kick-off) at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The global models appear to be showing us that a sort of "clipper" type disturbance will be sliding across the Great Lakes and into the Northeast on Saturday and Saturday night. Assuming these have any kind of good handle on the TIMING of this approaching "clipper" and the cold front that it will be sweeping across the area, we can certainly see how there's an uptick in snow shower activity across the area on Saturday.

In the Greater Baltimore Area, there could be a couple flurries or a snow shower on Saturday night.

Have a good day!
