13 Blood Gang Members Indicted For Crimes, Including Fatal Shooting Of Canton Bartender

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Maryland Attorney Brian E. Frosh announced Monday the indictment of 13 Blood gang members for crimes in Baltimore city and county, including the 2017 homicide of a popular Canton bartender.

The FBI worked with local law enforcement to investigate the crimes, going undercover and putting their lives at risk, Frosh said.

They were arrested for violent drug and organized criminal behavior and some were arrested for the shooting death of Sebastian Dvorak, who was robbed and fatally shot on Boston Street on June 13, 2017.

Malik Mungo, member of "500L" -- a subgroup of the gang -- was charged in the killing of Dvorak. A high-ranking member of the gang Robert Lewis allegedly gave Mungo the gun he used in the crime.

Dvorak was coming home from celebrating his 27th birthday when Mungo and another person allegedly robbed Dvorak, shot him in the chest and fled.

"We know that any justice for Sebastian receives does not bring him back to us. We lost our son. His siblings lost their bring brother," David Dvorak, Sebastian father.

The organization is also connected to the September 2016 fatal stabbing of Gerrod Greenwood of Baltimore County.

The 500L gang operated throughout Maryland, but originated in the 500 block of North Rose Street in Baltimore.

According to the investigation, the gang sold narcotics to undercover officers, including heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana, and a dangerous synthetic compound, N-ethylpentylone hydrochloride, which the gang represented to be MDMA, more commonly known as ecstasy.

"This gang ran a sophisticated operation, engaging in drug and gun trafficking, robbery, and murder," said Frosh.  "After countless hours of hard work, we are able to bring a small amount of justice to Sebastian Dvorak's loved ones and hold these defendants accountable for their actions."

The gang members arrested were: Clinton Davis, 36; Joseph Flowers, 38; Duwarn Holt, 29; Markeece Jordan, 25; Robert Lewis, 38; Malik Mungo, 18; Vernon Miller, 29; Dante Neal, 21; Gregory Randle, 34; Harvey Turner, 28; Keith Worthington, 33; Lienell Young, 33; and Timothy Zeller, 36. All defendants reside in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, or Harford County. All defendants reside in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, or Harford County.
