BLOG: Storms Ahead
One storm is leaving us, just as another moves our way.
The rain and thunderstorms this morning were from one storm that is heading out to sea. Meanwhile, there is another one right behind it already coming our way. A batch of showers and thunderstorms associated with the warm front over Ohio and West Virginia, and it's moving our way. Although some of this area will break up over the mountains, a few showers and maybe a thunderstorm will move across Maryland tonight into tomorrow.
There is a round of hot, muggy air just behind the warm front that will start moving our way tomorrow. Highs will climb to the mid 80s tomorrow, then spike back into the 90s Wednesday. This hot and muggy air mass will hover over the Mid-Atlantic through the end of the week. Not only will we get highs in the 90s for a few days, we will see the return of daily pop up thunderstorms. These are not all day rain events, but something will be on our radar each and every day heading into the weekend.
