BLOG: Storm Ahead

It was another sun filled, mild day. But that is going to change as a growing storm moves our way.

We topped out at 49 degrees this afternoon. Once again that is above the average of 43 degrees. We will stay mild through tomorrow, even though the clouds are thickening and rain is on the way. The rain will break out tomorrow, then become heavy at times later tomorrow. This quick moving storm will get out of here early Wednesday, possibly ending as some snow in the mountains out west.

Gusty winds out of the northwest will bring in cooler air after the storm departs. However, even though temperatures are going to take a hit, we are going to end up closer to our average for this time of year. Then, temperatures will start to build again as we move toward the weekend.

There is the chance for a couple of showers as a weak storm passes by Friday into Saturday. It is not a big storm, but something we will watch closely since we have the big New Year's Eve spectacular going on in the Inner Harbor this weekend - or for whatever else you may have going on.

There is a sign that we could change to a much colder weather pattern starting sometime next week. We will keep you posted.
